PROPERTIES BETWE. F.N THE CITY AND W. E. AND ANNA M.
HEMINGWAY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF FIRST STP~EET, WEST
OF BAKER STP~EET, WITH CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, WALTER E. HEMINGWAY and ANNA M. HEMINGWAY have executed
a deed dated July 24, 1967, conveying to the City of Santa Ana an
easement for street purposes on the north side of First Street, west
of Baker Street, in exchange for surplus City property lying east of
and contiguous to said property and a cash consideration of $1,657.50;
and
WHEREAS, said transaction is to be handled through Escrow
Number 874997-hrb with First American Title Insurance and Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deed executed by WALTER E. HEMINGWAY and ANNA M. HEMINGWAY
granting to the City that certain real property in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as:
An easement for street purposes over the South 40 feet of Lot 11
and the South 40 feet of the West 40 feet of Lot 9, in Block A
of Bessonett Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 24, page 73
of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California,
and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to place
his Certificate of Acceptance on said deed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed granting
to WALTER E. HEMINGWAY and ANNA M. HEMINGWAY that certain real property
in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
described as:
The West one-half of Lot 7 and the East 11.5 feet of Lot 9 in
Block A of the Bessonett Tract, as shown on a map recorded in
Book 24, page 73 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California.
Reserving unto the grantor an easement for street purposes over
the South 40 feet thereof,
and deliver the sa~e into said Escrow Number 874997-hrb.
