ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY FOR THE WIDENING
OF FIRST STREET FOR WHICH THE CITY IS PAYING
A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, LEE HARRIS and BURNICE HARRIS, have executed a deed
dated August 29, 1967, conveying to the City of Santa kna real
property on the north side of First Street, east of Hesperian, in
consideration of the sum of $14,000.00; said transaction to be
handled through Escrow No. 874923-HRB with First American Title
Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, JOSE P. FLORES and SOLEDAD G. FLORES, have executed
a deed dated August 24, 1967, conveying to the City of Santa Ana
real property on the north side of First Street, east of Bristol
Street, in consideration of the sum of $14,500.00; said transaction
to be handled through Escrow No. 874919-HRB with First American Title
Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREkS, JOHN L. SHOUP and AUDREY A.SHOUP, have executed a deed
dated August 30, 1967, conveying to the City of Santa Ana real
properties on the north side of First Street, west of Baker Street,
in consideration of the sum of $31,000.00; said transaction to be
handled through Escrow No. 875364 with First American Title Insurance &
Trust Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, BEN C. MUNOZ, PASCUAL C. MUNOZ, ROBERT C. MUNOZ and
EDDIE C. MUNOZ, have executed a deed dated August 24, 1967, conveying
to the City of Santa Ana real properties on the north side of First
Street, west of Bristol Street, in consideration of the sum of
$31,000.00; said transaction to be handled through Escrow No. 875357-HRB
with the First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana,
California; and
WHEREAS, VIRGINIA B. HEARNE, has executed a deed dated August 23,
1967, conveying to the City of Santa Aha real property on the north
side of First Street, west of Birch, in consideration of the sum of
$17,500.00; said transaction to be handled through Escrow No. 875349-HRB
with the First American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana,
California; and
WHEREAS, ELVIRA B. DIAZ, a married woman, who acquired title as
Elvira B. Beltran, a widow, has executed a deed dated August 24, 1967,
conveying to the City of Santa Ana real property on the north side of
First Street, and the west side of Baker Street, in consideration of
the sum of $39,000.00; said transaction to be handled through
Escrow No. 875355-HRB with the First American Title Insurance & Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deeds; and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of September, 1967.
