TERRITORY DESIGNATED "FAIRHAVEN AVENUE AND
GLASSELL AVENUE NORTHWEST ANNEX" TO THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange
County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow contained
and annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Ana, California;
and
W~EREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government
Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange
County has approved and authorized the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana, California, to annex said territory without notice and
hearing by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana, California, hereby finds and declares that said
territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this
Resolution, and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all of
the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said
territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the city
existing at the time of this annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the County
of Orange, State of California, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Fairhaven
Avenue and Glassell Avenue, North of Fairhaven Avenue, said
intersection being the Southwesterly corner of Lot 13, Block D,
of the A. B. Chapman Tract, as surveyed by Frank Lecouvreur in
1870 as shown on a map recorded in Book 102, Page 15, of Miscel-
laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, State of California; said
intersection being the Southeast corner of Section 13, Township 4
South, Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; said
intersection being the Southeast corner of the Abel Stearns
Allotment in Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa
Ana, rendered in Case No. 1192 and entered in September 12, 1868,
in Book "B", Page 410, of Judgments of the 17th Judicial District
Court of California; said intersection being an angle point in
the boundary of the City of Santa Ana as annexed by the Glassell
and Fairhaven Northeast Annex on January 17, 1966, by Resolution
66-11; thence North 1° 00' 08" East along said center line of
Glassell Street and along said Santa Ana City boundary a distance
of 267.00 feet; thence departing from said Santa Ana City boundary
North 88° 59' 38" West along a line parallel with said center line
of Fairhaven Avenue, a distance of 285.00 feet to a point; thence
South 1° 00' 08" West along a line parallel with said center line
of Glassell Avenue, a distance of 267.00 feet to said center line
of Fairhaven Avenue; thence South 88° 59' 38" East along said center
line of Fairhaven Avenue a distance of 200.50 feet to an angle
point in said Santa Aha City boundary as annexed by said Glassell
Avenue and Fairhaven Northeast Annex; thence South 88° 59' 38"
East along said center line of Fairhaven Avenue and along said
Santa Aha City boundary, a distance of 84.50 feet to the point of
beginning,
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Aha and to
Ward No. 1 in said City, and said Annexation is by this Resolution
effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this
territory, the designation that applies is "Santa Ana City - 1957 and
1958 Annexes"

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That in accordance with Government
Code Section 35318 the annexed territory will become a part of the
City of Santa Ana from the date of filing by the Secretary of State.
The Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana shall, without
delay, transmit to the Secretary of State a certified copy of this
Resolution.
