HomeMy WebLinkAbout68-048RESOLUTION 68-48 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA EXPRESSING ITS OPPOSITION TO SENATE BILL 21 WHEREAS, the nature and effect of Senate Bill 21 has come to %he attention of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, said Council feels said bill would unduly restrict state licensing boards and agencies; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Senate Bill 21 not be passed by reason of the fact that licensing boards and agencies should not be foreclosed from enforcing administrative remedies and disciplines by reason of the inability of a prosecuting authority to sustain the burden of proof in a criminal prosecution. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That copies of this Resolution be sent to our legislators. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 1st day of April, 1968.
