THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, DONNA J. HILL, a unmarried woman, has executed a deed
dated April 4, 1968, conveying to the City of Santa Ana an easement
for street purposes on the south side of Seventeenth Street and the
west side of Rosewood, for which the City is paying a cash consideration
of $6,461.00; said transaction is to be handled through Escrow Number
463104-VH with Title Insurance and Trust Company, Santa Ana, California,
and in accordance with the terms of the agreement attached~%ereto; and
WHEREAS, FRED N. WARREN and HAZEL R. WARREN, husband and wife,
have executed a deed dated April 4, 1968, conveying to the City of
Santa Aha an easement for street purposes on the south side of Seven-
teenth Street and the east side of Freeman, for which the City is
paying a cash consideration of $9,520.00; said transaction is to be
handled through Escrow Number 463105-VH with Title Insu~ce and Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California, and in accordance with the terms of
the agreement attached thereto; and
WHEREAS, G. W. HAWKINS and JUNE M. HAWKINS, husband and wife;
E. F. BRUNING and HARRIET JANE BRUNING, husband and wife; JOHN A. POUK
and SELMA L. POUK, husband and wife; and REX M. GRISSOM and NORENE
GRISSOM, husband and wife, have executed a deed dated April 4, 1968,
conveying to the City of Santa Ana an easement for street purposes on
the south side of Seventeenth Street, east of Rosewood, for which the
City is paying a cash consideration of $12,456.00; said transaction is
to be handled through Escrow Number 463110-VH with Title Insurance and
Trust Company, Santa Ana, California, and in accordance with the terms
of the agreement attached thereto; and
WHEREAS, CLIFFORD O. COLLINS and DELLA M. COLLINS, husband and
wife, have executed a deed dated April 5, 1968, conveying to the City
of Santa Aha an easement for street purposes on the south side of
Seventeenth Street and the west side of Freeman, for which the City is
paying a cash consideration of $8,067.00; said transaction is to be
handled through Escrow Number 463107-VH with Title Insurance and Trust
Company, Santa Ana, California, and in accordance with the terms of the
agreement attached~ereto; and
WHEREAS, HARRY R. ~ARTIN, a married man, and JAMES L. WHITAKER,
a married man, have executed a deed dated April 19, 1968, conveying to
the City of Santa Ana an easement for drainage purposes for the U-1-A
storm drain, south of St. Gertrude Place and west of Grand Avenue, for
which the City is paying a cash consideration of $1,800.00; said trans-
action is to be handled through Escrow Number 876257-HL with the First
American Title Insurance & Trust Company, Santa Ana, California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the Escrow instructions; that the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deeds, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance on said deeds.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of March, 1968.
