HomeMy WebLinkAbout68-081RESOLUTION 68-81 ACCEPTING AN OFFER OF DEDICATION FROM FRED L. AND H~.T~ RIVERAFOR THE EXTENSION OF TOLAND STREET, NORTH OF KENT AVENUE, WITH NO CASH CONSIDERATION ASST. WHEREAS, FRED L. RIVERA and FIELEN RIVERA, husband and wife, have executed an Offer of Dedication dated May 9, 1968, by which document they offer to dedicate to the City of Santa Ana for the purpose of extending Toland Street, north of Kent Avenue, an ease- ment over that real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: The Westerly 11.00 feet of the Southerly 60.00 feet of that portion of the East half of the Northwest quarter of the North- west quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 16, Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 51, Page 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, lying between the Northerly prolongation of the Easterly and Westerly lines of Toland Street as shown on a Map of Tract 3714 recorded in Book 131, Pages 30 and 31, of Miscellaneous Maps; and WHEREAS, this Offer of Dedication is without cash consideration and shall expire on August 16, 1977 unless the dedication has been previously accepted by the City of Santa Ana, California, and the City may accept the same only if the immediate Easterly parcel is dedicated for street purposes to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the parcel immediately easterly having been dedicated for street purposes to the City, the City of Santa Ana hereby accepts said Offer of Dedication, and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent, is directed to execute an acceptance of said offer. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of May, 1968.
