TERRITORY DESIGNATED "GRAND AVENUE SOUTH OF
WARNER AVENUE WEST ANNE~" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEP~EAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange
County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow contained
and annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Ana, California;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government
Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange
County has approved the within annexation and has authorized the City
Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, to annex said territory
without notice and hearing by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT P~ESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana, California, hereby finds and declares that said
territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this
Resolution, and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all of
the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said
territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City
existing at the time of this annexation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the
County of Orange, State of California, described as:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Fractional Section 29,
Township 5 South, Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian,
in the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, said Northwest corner being
the center line intersection of Grand Avenue with Warner Avenue;
thence South 1° 23' 50" West, 1593.26 feet along the center line
of Grand Avenue to the Northerly boundary of the Dyer and Grand
Northwest Annex to the City of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance
NS-884; thence North 88° 36' 10" West 30.00 feet along said
Northerly boundary of the City of Santa Ana to the West line of
Grand Avenue, to an angle point in said boundary of the City of
Santa Ana and to the T~UE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence South 1° 23'
50" West, 50.00 feet along said City boundary to a tangent curve
concave Westerly,having a radius of 970.00 feet; thence South-
westerly along said curve and along said City boundary through a
central angle of 26° 48' 16", an arc length of 453.79 feet to an
angle point in said City boundary and to a point on a non-t~nggnt
line, said point being the Northeast corner of that certain parcel
of land described in a deed to the City of Santa Ana, recorded
February 28, 1967, in Book 8186, Page 165 of Official Records of
Orange County, California; thence West along said City boundary
as annexed by Ordinance NS-884 a distance of 379.30 feet to an
angle point in said City boundary and to a point in the West line
of the property described as Parcel 1 in the deed from J. S. Ellis
to Sarah E. Ellis, recorded January 29, 1937 in Book 873, Page 6
of Official Records of said County; thence departing from said
boundary of the City of Santa Ana North 0° 26' 50" East along
said West line a distance of 963.27 feet to the Southeast corner
of the Southeast Southern Pacific and Delhi Annex to the City of
Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance NS-220; thence North 0° 26' 50"
East along said City boundary a distance of 243.20 feet to the
Southwest corner of that certain 20.00 acre parcel of land as
shown on a map recorded in Book 15, Page 26, Record of Surveys,
in the office of the County Recorder of said County; thence de-
parting from said City boundary of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance
NS-220 South 89° 05' 55" East along the South line of said 20.00
acre parcel of land a distance of 485.70 feet, more or less, to the
West line of Grand Avenue, 60.00 feet wide, as described in a deed
to the County of Orange, recorded July 16, 1965 in Book 7595,
Page 786 of Official ~ecords of said County; thence South i° 23' 50"
West along the West line of Grand Avenue a distance of 706.87 feet
to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING,

be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to
Ward No. 6 in said City, and said Annexation is by this Resolution
effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this
territory, the designation that applies is the "Santa Ana City -
1957 and 1958 Annexes".
BE IT FURTHER P~ESOLVED: That in accordance with Government
Code Section 35318 the annexed territory will become a part of the
City of Santa Ana from the date of filing by the Secretary of State.
The Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana shall, without
delay, transmit to the Secretary of State a certified copy of this
Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of July, 1968.
