PROPERTY CONTR.ACTAND ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED FROM
THE FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF PARCEL NO. 213 FOR CIVIC CENTER PROJECT NO. G.A. 401
WHEREAS, the Department of Real Property Services of the
County of Orange, acting for and on behalf of the City of Santa Ana,
has negotiated and conditionally delivered to the City a Real
Property Contract and deed, executed by the President and Secretary
of the FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD OF SANTA ANA as grantor, which will
convey to the City real property on the south side of Sixth Street,
between Van Ness Avenue and Ross Street, designated in said Contract
as Parcel No. G.A. 401-213, and which provides for the payment of
$602,000.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
Real Property Contract for the City; that the City of Santa Ana
accepts said deed and Carl J. Thornton, the City's designated agent,
is directed to place his Certificate of Acceptance thereon.
The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to issue his
warrant in the amount of $602,000.00 to the grantor or its assigns
and to deliver the same when title to said property has been obtained
by the City on notice from said Department of Real Property Services.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of August~ 1968.
