QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
COMPANY AND KWIK-~_RC~P~EALTYWITH NO CASH
CONSIDERATION
WHEP~EAS, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, a corporation,
has quitclaimed to the City vehicle access rights previously granted
on Grand Avenue, south of McFadden Avenue, and has requested vehicle
access rights to Grand Avenue at a different location in the same
area, which the City has determined should be granted; and
W/~EREAS, the owners of certain property on the south side of
Seventeenth Street, west of Century Boulevard, have requested access
rights to Seventeenth Street, which the City has determined should
be granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk
of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed
quitclaiming to SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, a corporation,
all vehicular access rights over that portion of the real property
in the County of Orange, State of California, described and designated
as Parcel 1 in the Easement for Road Purposes from Southern California
Edison Company to the City of Santa Ana, dated August 21, 1962 and
recorded as Instrument No. 4111 in Book 6242, Page 33 of Official
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said County,
described as follows:
A strip of land, 36.00 feet wide, the center line of
said strip of land is described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Easterly line of said Parcel 1,
said point being Northerly 90.27 feet, measured along said
Easterly line, from the Southeast corner of said Parcel 1;
thence Westerly, at right angles to said Easterly line,
8.00 feet,
and deliver the same to Southern California Edison Company, 601 West
Eighth Street, Santa Ana, California 92701;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the
Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed quit-
claiming to KWIK-CHECK REALTY COMPANY, INC., a Nevada Corporation,
the following described real property in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California:
Vehicular access rights to Westminster Avenue over the
Easterly 40.00 feet of the Westerly 70.00 feet, the Easterly
40.00 feet of the Westerly 532.96 feet from that portion of
the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 9,
Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas,
in the city of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Book 51, Page 12, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said
Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Northeast quarter
of the Northeast quarter; thence South 12.50 chains; thence
East 8 chains; thence North 12.50 chains; thence West 8
chains to the point of beginning,
and deliver the same to Kwik-Check Realty Company, Inc. 2828 North
Haskell Avenue, Dallas,Texas.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day ~f Se.p~68.
