OF SYCAMORE STREET TO FACILITATE CHRISTMAS DISPLAY
WHEREAS, the Downtown Santa Ana Association has requested
that the city grant permission for the Closure of a portion of
Sycamore Street for the purpose of facilitating a Christmas display;
and the city Council has determined that said request should be
granted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the city of Santa Ana does hereby grant permission to the Downtown
Santa Ana Association to close off that portion of Sycamore Street
between the alley north of Third Street and Fourth Street between
the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. from December 9th through
December 20th, 1968, providing the following conditions are met:
1. Downtown Santa Ana Association shall erect and maintain the
the following signs, barricades, and no parking signs for meters
between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.:
(a) A right turn only sign (R41R) on the northwest corner of
Fourth Street and Sycamore Street for southbound traffic
between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and l0:00 P.M.
(b) A no right turn sign (R16R) at the southwest corner of
Fourth Street and Sycamore Street for eastbound traffic
between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.
(c) A no right turn sign (R16R) at the alley and Sycamore
Street for westbound traffic between the hours of 6:00 P.M.
and 10:00 P.M.
(d) A left turn only sign (R17R) at Third Street and Sycamore
Street for northbound traffic and a no right turn sign
(R16R) at the northeast corner of Third Street and Sycamore
Street for westbound traffic.
(e) Barricades across Sycamore Streetjust north of the alley
and across Sycamore Street at the beginning of the south
curve radius.
(f) No parking between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.
with meter hoods placed on the five meters and the two
loading zone signs between 5:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.
between the alley and Fourth Street on both sides of
the street.
The City will furnish signs, barricades, and no parking signs for
meters.
