REAL PROPERTY BETWEEN FOURTH AND SIXTH STREETS,
W~ICH WILL BECOME PORTIONS OF THE WEST DOWNTOWN
DIAGONAL, AND A PARCEL OF CITY OWNED REAL PROPERTY
ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF EIGHTH STREET, WHICH WILL
BECOME A PORTION OF SAID EIGHTH STREET, TO BE
PUBLIC STREETS
WHEREAS, the City has acquired in fee certain land located
between Fourth and Sixth Streets, East of Parton Street, and on
the South side of Eighth Street, East of Shelton Street, portions
of which are to become public streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That those portions of the
above mentioned lands hereihafter described are hereby declared to
be a public street and highway and to become a part of Fourth Street
in the City of Santa Ana:
PARCEL 1:
Those portions of Block A, Block B, and Block D of the
Ross Addition to Santa Ana, City of Santa Ana, as shown
on a map thereof recorded in Book 3, Pages 534 and 535,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California,
described as follows:
A strip of land, 108.00 feet in width, the center line of
which is described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Fourth Street,
80.00 feet wide, distant 100.00 feet Westerly from the
center line of Parton Street, 60.00 feet wide, as said
streets are shown in said Ross Addition, said point
being the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly
having a radius of 800.00 feet; thence Northeasterl~ along
the arc of said curve through a central angle of 40- 53' 43"
an arc distance of 570.01 feet to a tangent line; thence
North 48° 45' 33" East along said tangent line a distance
Of 248.70 feet to the center line of Ross Street.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM those portions lying in Lot 6, Block D
in said Ross Addition.
PARCEL 2:
Those portions of Lot 1 and 2, Block A of the Ross Addition
to the City of Santa Ana as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Book 3, Pages 534 and 535, Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County, California, lying within a spandrel
shaped parcel bounded on the East by the West line of
Parcel 3 below described, bounded on the Northwest by the
Southeast line of Parcel 1 above described, and bounded
Southerly by the arc of a curve concave Southerly, having
a radius of 25.00 feet, and tangent to said East and
Northwest boundaries.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That those portions of the above
mentioned lands hereinafter described are hereby declared to be a
public street and highway and to become a part of Ross Street in the
City of Santa Ana:
PARCEL 3:
Tha~ portion of Lot 1, Block A, of the Ross Addition to
Santa Ana, City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 3, Pages 534 and 535, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California, lying Easterly
of a line parallel and 40.00 feet Westerly, measured at
right angles, from the center line of Ross Street.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM that portion lying within Parcel 1
above described.

PARCEL 4:
Those portions of Loll and 10, Block B, of the Ross
Addition to Santa Ana, City of Santa Ana, as shown on a
map thereof recorded in Book 3, Pages 534 and 535,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California,
lying Easterly of a line parallel and 53.00 feet Westerly,
measured at right angles from the center line of Ross
Street.
Excepting therefrom that portion lying within Parcel 1
above described.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM those portions previously
dedicated for street purposes.
PARCEL 5:
That portion of Lot 10, Block B, of the Ross Addition to
Santa Ana, City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 3, Pages 534 and 535, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California, lying within
a spandrel shaped parcel bounded on the East by the West
line of Parcel 4 above described, bounded on the Southeast
by the Northwest line of Parcel 1 above described, and
bounded Westerly by the arc of a curve concave Westerly,
having a radius of 25.00 feet, and tangent to said East
and Southeast boundaries.
PARCEL 6:
That portion of Lot 5 of the Birch Addition to SantaAna
in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof
recorded in Book 3, Page 145, of Miscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, california, lying Westerly of a
line parallel and 40.00 feet Easterly, measured at right
angles, from the center line of Ross Street.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM those portions previously dedicated
for street purposes.
PARCEL 7:
Those portions of Lots 5 and 6, of the Birch Addition to
Santa Ana in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 3, Page 145, of Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California, lying within
a spandrel shaped parcel bounded on the West by the East
line of Parcel 6 above described, bounded on the North by
the North line of said Lots 5 and 6, and bounded South-
easterly by the arc of a curve concave Southeasterly,
having a radius of 68.00 feet, and tangent to said West
and North boundaries.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That those portions of the above
mentioned lands hereinafter described are hereby declared to be a
public street and highway and to become a part of Sixth Street in
the City of Santa Ana:
PARCEL 8:
Those portions of Lot 6, and the South 90.00 feet of
Lot 8, Block C of Hickeys', Andrews' and Crane's Addition
to Santa Ana, in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map
thereof recorded in Book 5, Page 352 of Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California, and that portion
of Lot 4 of the Birch Addition to Santa Ana, in the City
of Santa Ana, as show%/ on a map thereof recorded in Book 3,
Page 145 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
california, described as follows:
A strip of land, 60.00 feet in width, the center line of
which is described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of Birch Street, 60.00
feet wide, and Sixth Street, 60.00 feet wide, as said
streets are shown in said Hickeys', Andrews' and Crane's
Addition to Santa Ana; thence South 89~ 38' 24" West
along the center line of Sixth Street a distance of 80.00
feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave South-
easterly, having a radius of 352.00 feet; thence South-
westerly along the arc of said curve through a central
angle of 40" 52' 51" an arc distance of 251.15 feet to a
tangent line; thence South 48~ 45' 33" West along said
tangent line a distance of 240.82 feet to the center
line of Ross Street.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM the Easterly 5.00 feet of said Lot 6.
ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM those portions previously
dedicated for street purposes.
PARCEL 9:
That portion of the South 90.00 feet of Lot 8, Block C
of Hickeys' Andrews' and Crane's Addition to Santa Ana,
in the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map thereof re-
corded in Book 5, Page 352 of Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County, California, and that portion of Lot 4
of the Birch Addition to Santa Ana, in the City of Santa
Ana, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 3,
Page 145 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, lying within a spandrel shaped parcel bounded
on the South by the South line of said Lot 4, bounded on
the Northwest by the Southeast line of Parcel 8 above
described and bounded on the East by the arc of a curve
concave Easterly, having a radius of 45.00 feet and
tangent to said South and Northwest boundaries.
EXCEPTING THEREFROM those portions previously dedicated
for street purposes.

that is parallel or concentric and 30.00 feet Northerly
and Northwesterly, measured at right angles with the
following described center line:
Beginning at the intersection of Birch Street, 60.00
feet wide, and Sixth Street, 60.00 feet wide, as said
streets are shown in said Hickeys', Andrews' and Crane's
Addition to Santa Ana; thence South 89" 38' 24" West

PARCEL 11: Those portions of Lot 11 of J. W. Birt's Subdivision, as
shown on a map recorded in Book 3, Page 48 of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California, described as:

The Northerly 29.00 feet along with a spandrel shaped
parcel bounded on the North by the South line of said
North 29.00 feet, bounded on the West by the West line
of said Lot 11, and bounded on the Southeast by the arc
of a curve concave Southeasterly, having a radius of
25.00 feet, and tangent to said North and South boundaries.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th day of December, 1968.
