HomeMy WebLinkAbout69-034RESOLUTION 69-34 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A DEED GRANTING TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA REAL PROPERTY IN THE CIVIC CENTER AREA IN EXCHANGE FOR OTHER REAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, by agreement dated February 6, 1969, the City of Santa Ana and the United States of America have agreed to an exchange of real property; and WHEREAS, to effectuate this agreement it is necessary that an escrow be opened for the orderly transfer of said real property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to execute a deed for and on behalf of the City of Santa Ana granting to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that certain real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Parcel 1: Ail of Block E of the Ross Addition to Santa Ana, City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 3, Pages 534 and 535, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California. Reserving an easement for street purposes over the Southerly 14.00 feet of said Block E along with that portion lying Southerly of a line that is concentric or parallel with and 54.00 feet Northerly and Westerly, measured at right angles, from the following described center line: Beginning at a point on the center line of Fourth Street, 80.00 feet wide, distant 100.00 feet Westerly from the center line of Parton Street, 60.00 feet wide, as said streets are shown in said Ross Addition to Santa Ana, said point being~the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of 800.00 feet; thence Northeasterly along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 400 53' 43" an arc distance of 570.01 feet to a tangent line; thence North 48° 45' 33" East along said tangent line a distance of 248.70 feet to the center line of Ross Street. Parcel 2: The West 30.00 feet of Garnsey Street abutting Lots 1 and 10 of Block H of the Ross Addition to Santa Ana, City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 3, Pages 534 and 535, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California. Reserving an easement for street purposes over the Southerly 14.00 feet. Parcel 3: Ail of Block 3 of the Jacob Ross Tract, in the Ross Addition to Santa Ana, City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 5, Page 582, Miscella~ neous Records of Los Angeles County, california. Reserving an easement for street purposes over the Northerly 14.00 feet of Lot 2 and the Northerly 14.00 feet of the Westerly 55.00 feet of Lot 1 of said Block 3 along with that portion lying Northerly of a line that is concentric or parallel with and 54.00 feet Southerly and Easterly, measured at right angles, from the following described center line: -1- Beginning at a point on the center line of Fourth Street, 80.00 feet wide, distant 100.00 feet Westerly from the center line of Parton Street, 60.00 feet wide, as said streets are shown in said Ross Addition to Santa Ana, said point being the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of 800.00 feet; thence Northeasterly along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 40° 53' 43" an arc distance of 570.01 feet to a tangent line; thence North 48~ 45' 33" East along said tangent line a distance of 248.70 feet to the center line of Ross Street. Also, reserving a spandrel shaped parcel bounded on the West by the West line of said Block 3, bounded on the North by the South line of said Northerly 14.00 feet and bounded on the Southeast by the arc of a curve concave Southeasterly, having a radius of 25.00 feet, and being tangent to said West and North boundaries. Also, reserving a spandrel shaped parcel bounded on the East by the East line of said Block 3, bounded on the North by said line that is concentric or parallel with and 54.00 feet Southerly and Easterly, measured at right angles, from said described center line, and bounded on the Southwest by the arc of a curve concave Southwesterly, having a radius of 25.00 feet, and being tangent to said East and North boundaries. and deliver the same in to Escrow No. 56070-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California.
