SERVICE IN ORANGE COUNTY BY PROVIDING AIRLINE ROUTES
FROM ORANGE COUNTY TO SEATTLE, WASHINGTON AND
PORTLAND, OREGON
WHER]EAS, it is in the best interest of the people of the
City of Santa Ana, california, to improve air service; and
WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Civil Aeronautics
Board an action to improve air service between Southern California
and the Pacific Northwest cities of Seattle, Washington, and
Portland, Oregon; and
WHEREAS, at the present time there is no service offered
between Orange County and the cities of Seattle and Portland;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana that the Civil Aeronautics Board is hereby urged
and requested to provide airline routes between Orange County and
Seattle and Portland; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: ~hat a copy of this Resolution be
forwarded to the Civil Aeronautics Board.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of March, 1969.
