THE CITY IS PAYING A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, GARELD R. EDWARDS and DOROTHY F. EDWARDS, husband
and wife; and EUGENE M. EDWARDS, an unmarried man, have executed
a deed dated April 25, 1969, conveying to the City of Santa Ana a
parcel of real property located on the north side of First Street,
and the west side of Broadway to be used as a public street and
highway, for which the City is paying a cash consideration of
$61,000.00, of which sum $39,500.00 has heretofore been paid to
Grantors outside of escrow, the balance of $21,500.00 being the
sum now due from the city to Grantors. The transaction is to be
handled through escrow numbered 56246-C with the Security Title
Insurance Company, Santa Ana, california; and
WHEREAS, GARELD R. EDWARDS and DOROTHY F. EDWARDS, husband
and wife; and EUGENE M. EDWARDS, an unmarried man, have executed
a deed dated March 26, 1969, conveying to the city of Santa Ana a
temporary easement over the above-described location; said trans-
action also to be handled through said escrow numbered 56246-C.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the escrow instructions; that the City of
Santa Ana accepts said deeds, and the Clerk of the Council is
directed to cause said deeds together with a copy of this resolu-
tion to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the city Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of May, 1969.
