DEFENSE DISASTER RELIEF PLAN
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange,
State of california, on the llth day of March, 1969, adopted the
Orange County civil Defense and Disaster Relief Plan - Emergency
Fire Services - known as Appendix I of Annex B of the Orange County
Operational Area civil Defense and Disaster Plan, as adopted by the
Orange County Board of Supervisors, on behalf of the County of
Orange and all its departments and agencies; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the city
of Santa Ana to approve and agree to abide by said Orange County
Civil Defense and Disaster Relief Plan - Emergency Fire Services -
known as Appendix I of Annex B of the Orange County Operational Area
civil Defense and Disaster Plan, as adopted by the Orange County
Board of Supervisors and to terminate all current agreements for
mutual fire protection which have hitherto been made and entered
into and executed by the City of Santa Ana as a principal party thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, the city Council of the city of Santa Ana does,
by this Resolution, hereby approve and agree to abide by said Orange
County civil Defense and Disaster Relief Plan - Emergency Fire Services
known as Appendix I of Annex B of the Orange County Operational Area
civil Defense and Disaster Plan, as adopted by the Orange County
Board of Supervisors; and
The City of Santa Ana hereby terminates all current agreements
for mutual fire protection to which the city is a party as of when
the other parties to the said mutual fire agreements adopt the Orange
County Disaster Relief Plan referred to hereinbefore, or on October 1,
1969, whichever occurs first; the city Clerk is directed to serve
notice of its intention to terminate such agreements, except the
aforementioned agreement, upon the Clerk of the governing body of
each of the other parties thereto as provided by Paragraph 7 of the
standard form agreement for mutual fire protection.
The City Clerk is directed to file with the Orange County
Board of Supervisors two certified copies of this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of April, 1969.
