TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA CLARA AND GRAND
NORTHEAST ANNEX NO. 1" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange
County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow contained
and annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Ana, California;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government
Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of
Orange County has approved the within annexation and has authorized
the city Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, to annex
said territory without notice and hearing by the City Council of
the city of Santa Ana;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the city Council of
the City of Santa Ana, california, hereby finds and declares that
said territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this
Resolution, and is contiguous to the city of Santa Ana; that all
of the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said
territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the city
existing at the time of this annexation;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the
County of Orange, State of california, described as:
Beginning at an angle point in the City boundary of Santa
Ana as annexed as the Grand Avenue West and Santa Clara
Northeast Annex by Ordinance Number NS-524, said angle
point being the intersection of the center line of Santa
Clara Avenue with the Southerly prolongation of the East
line of Lot 48 of the Santa Ana Grand Avenue Tract as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 26, Page 53,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California,
said angle point being a point on the City boundary of
Santa Ana, as annexed by Ordinance Number 73, on August
20, 1888; thence North 08° 10' 34" East along said City
boundary of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance Number
NS-524 and along the Southerly prolongation of said East
line of Lot 48 a distance of 141.35 feet to a point on a
line that is parallel with and 140.00 feet Northerly,
measured at right angles, from the center line of Santa
Clara Avenue; thence South 89° 45' 26' East, departing
from said City boundary of Santa Ana, along said last
mentioned parallel line, a distance of 220.39 feet to
the Northeast corner of that portion of land conveyed
to the City of Santa Ana by Louis Yung and Helene Yung,
recorded in Book 8871, Page 639 of records of Orange
County, California, on February 13, 1969; thence South
0° 14' 34" West 140.00 feet to the center line of Santa
Clara Avenue and to a point on the City boundary of
Santa Ana as annexed by said Ordinance Number 73; thence
North 89° 45' 26" West along said City boundary of Santa
Ana a distance of 239.90 feet to the point of beginning.
be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to
Ward No. 1 in said city, and said Annexation is by this Resolution
effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this
territory, the designation that applies is the "Santa Ana City -
1957-1958 Annexes."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That in accordance with Government
Code Section 35318 the annexed territory will become a part of the
city of Santa Ana from the date of filing by the Secretary of State.

The Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Aha shall, without
delay, transmit to the Secretary of State a certified copy of
this Resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 19th day of May, 1969.
