HomeMy WebLinkAbout69-081RESOLUTION 69-81 DECLARING THE AATNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "NORTH MAIN ANNEX 3" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow contained and annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Ana, California; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved the within annexation and has authorized the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, california, to annex said territory without notice and hearing by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, hereby finds and declares that said territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this Resolution, and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all of the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the city existing at the time of this annexation; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at a point 150 feet North and 33 feet East of the intersection of the center line of Main Street with the South line of Section 31, Township 4 South, Range 9 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, said point being the Southeast corner of the "North Main Street Annex" to the city of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance NS-314, thence North along the boundary of the city of Santa Ana as annexed by ordinance NS-314, a distance of 543 feet to the Southwest corner of Annexation 118 to the City of Orange, california as annexed by Ordinance 7-60; thence departing from the City boundary of the city of Santa Ana and running East along the City boundary of the City of Orange as annexed by Ordinance 7-60, a distance of 1,233 feet, more or less, to the Northwest corner of "West of Santiago Annex" to the city of Santa Ana, as annexed by Ordinance NS-139; thence departing from the City boundary of the city of Orange and running South along the city boundary of the City of Santa Ana, a distance of 670.34 feet to an angle point in said city boundary of the City of Santa Aha, and to the North line of the City boundary of the city of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance 73; thence West along the City boundary of the City of Santa Aha as annexed by ordinance 73, a distance of 1,088 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of "North Main Street Annexation" as annexed by Ordinance 1347; thence North along the city boundary of the City of Santa Aha as annexed by said Ordinance 1347, a distance of 150 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence West along the City boundary of the City of Santa Ana, as annexed by said Ordinance 1347, a distance of 145.25 feet to the point of beginning. be and the same is hereby annexed to the city of Santa Ana and to Ward No. 1 in said City, and said Annexation is by this Resolution effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is the "Santa Ana City - 1957-1958 Annexes." -1- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That in accordance with Government Code Section 35318 the annexed territory will become a part of the city of Santa Aha from the date of filing by the Secretary of State. The Clerk of the Council of the city of Santa Ana shall, without delay, transmit to the Secretary of State a certified copy of this Resolution.
