PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY NEAR THE INTERSECTION
OF ORANGE ROAD AND WESTWOOD STREET FOR PAP~K
PURPOSES
W/qEREAS, the Santa Ana General Plan Program recommends the
acquisition and development of a six-acre park by 1970-71 near the
intersection of Orange Road and Westwood Street, and
WHEREAS, the parcel hereinafter described is the only one
in the area suitable for Said purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that the public
interest and necessity require the acquisition of fee title in and
to the real property hereinbelow described:
That portion of the North one-half of Lot 13, Potts,
Borden and Sidwell Tract, as per map recorded in Book 4,
Page 624 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the North one-half
of said Lot 13; thence North 0° 01' 57" East 397.79
feet; thence South 89° 53' 46" East 530.50 feet; thence
South 0° 12' 17" East 237.06 feet to a tangent curve
concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 200.00 feet;
thence Southwesterly along said curve through a central
angle of 23° 50' 15", an arc distance of 83.21 feet, to
a tangent curve concave Southeasterly and having a radius
of 200.00 feet; thence Southwesterly along said curve
through a central angle of 23° 31' 37", an arc distance
of 82.12 feet, to a non-tangent line; thence North 89° 53'
West 498.06 feet to the point of beginning.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1. That the City Attorney is hereby ordered to bring an
action in the name of the city to condemn said property necessary
to be taken and to do all things necessary to prosecute said
action to final determination;
2. That said public improvement is planned and located in
a manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public
good and the least private injury;
3. That the City of Santa Ana is authorized and empowered
to acquire, develop, maintain, and operate public parks within and
without the City;
4. That said action in condemnation shall be taken in
accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and
the Constitution of the State of California relating to eminent
domain.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of June, 1969.
