HomeMy WebLinkAbout69-098RESOLUTION 69-98 EXTENDING WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE BENEFITS TO RESERVE POLICE OFFICERS WHILE ON DUTY WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Countil to provide Volunteer Reserve Policemen or Policewomen, while on active duty and training, with Workmen's Compensation Insurance benefits for any injuries that may arise out of and in the course of that duty; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Volunteer Reserve Policemen or Policewomen are hereby deemed employees of the City of Santa Ana for the purposes of Division 4 of the Labor Code of the State of California and are entitled to the workmen's Compensation Insurance benefits provided by said Division 4 of said Code for such injuries as may be sustained by them while in the performance of assigned duty and training. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of July, 1969.
