Resolution 69-126
WHEREAS, in April of 1967, THOMAS W. THURMAN was elected
by the People of the City of Santa Ana to serve as Councilman
from Ward Two; and
WHEREAS, thereafter and until August 1, 1969, Councilman
Thurman served well the interests of the City of Santa Ana by
lending to the city Council his insight and judgment derived from
his legal training and experience; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure Councilman Thurman served as a
Committeeman to the Bowers Museum Board and acted as Liaison
between the City Council and the City's Fire Department; and
W/4_EREAS, the pressures of Councilman Thurman's personal
and business commitments have compelled his resignation from the
city Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED: That the City Council
of the City o~ Santa Ana, on its own account, and for the citizens
of the City of Santa Ana, does hereby express to THOMAS W. THURMAN
its profound gratitude for his many months of unstinting service on
behalf of the community; and extends the wish that his future
activities will prove as beneficial to him as his efforts as
Councilman were to the City of Santa Ana.

Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18th day of August, 1969.
