A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
EXTENDING FRIENDLY GREETINGS TO THE
CITY OF FRANKFURT, GERMANY
WHEREAS, in recent years the citizens of Frankfurt on Main,
in West Germany, have striven by application and industry to restore
wealth and well-being not only to their City but also to their nation;
and
WHEREAS, Frankfurt, by its accomplishments and example,
has served as a model for other cities similarly situated; and
WHEREAS, the People of the United States of America look to
West Germany in the expectation that it will be the principal source
of strength in the economy of western Europe and will serve as an
exemplar of industrial accomplishment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, for itself and,
in its representative capacity, for the citizens of the City of Santa Ana,
extends its most cordial greetings to the citizens and municipal author-
ities of the City of Frankfurt, Germany;
2. That the City Council further expresses its sincere hope and
expectation that the mutually beneficial and peaceful relationship exist-
ing between our two countries will continue unabated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Aha, California, at its reguIar meeting held on the 2nd day of March,
1970.
