A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
EXTENDING FRIENDLY GREETINGS TO THE
CITY OF BANGKOK, THAILAND
WHEREAS, during the recent turmoil in Southeast Asia there
has remained an area of sanity, an island of tranquility to which
American and allied forces could travel for welcome intervals of
recreation; and
WHEREAS, this extension of ql~ai friendship is of invaluable
assistance to those citizens of the United States of America who
have been able to enjoy it, including residents of the City of Santa
Aha; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Santa Ann wish to express
their appreciation to the citizens and officials of Bangkok for that
aid and comfort which the forces of this country have enjoyed in
their territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, for itself and,
in its representative capacity, for the citizens of the City of Santa Ann,
extends its most cordial greetings to the citizens and municipal author-
ities of the City of Bangkok, Thailand;
2. That the City Council further expresses its sincere hope and
expectation that the mutually beneficial and peaceful relationship exist-
ing between our two countries will continue unabated.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ann, California, at its regular meeting held on the 2nd day of March,
1970.
