INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF PULLMAN
STREET NORTHEASTERLY OF PROPOSED GARRY STREET
AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, Pullman Street as it exists northeasterly of
proposed Garry Street is no longer necessary for present or
prospective street purposes, and the Department of Public Works
and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana have
recommended that a public hearing be set on the question of
vacating said right of way;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the map attached hereto and
orders the same filed with the original of this Resolution in the
office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made
to said map for the exterior boundaries of the right of way
proposed to be vacated;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares
its intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation
Aet of 1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the california Streets
and Highways Code) to vacate that portion of Pullman Street north-
easterly of proposed Garry Street; said right of way proposed to be
vacated lies within the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
of California, and is described as:
That portion of Lot 116 in Block 9 of Irvine's Subdivision in
the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
as per map recorded in Book 1, Page 88 of Miscellaneous Record
Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County,
described as follows:
Beginning at the most Northerly corner of the land described in
the deed to the City of Santa Ana recorded October 14, 1968 in
Book 8751, Page 88 of official Records, in the office of said
County Recorder; thence North 48° 42' 53" West 80.00 feet along
the Northwesterly prolongation of the Northeasterly line of the
land described in said deed to the Northwesterly line of the
land shown as Parcel 6 on maps recorded April 10, 1967 in State
Highway Map Book No. 5, Pages 3 to 9 inclusive, records of Orange
County as said Parcel 6 is described in Relinquishment of Highway
Right of Way in the County of Orange, a copy of which was recorded
April 29, 1968 in Book 8586, Page 649 of Official Records; thence
North 40° 38' 52" East 170.34 feet along said Northwesterly line
to an angle point therein; thence North 45" 22' 22" East 376.66
feet along said Northwesterly line; thence South 44° 37' 38"
East 60.00 feet to a line parallel with and Northwesterly 20.00
feet from the Southeasterly line of the land described as Parcel 6
in the Final Order of Condemnation recorded May 3, 1966 in Book
7920, Page 139 of Official Records, said point being the true
point of beginning; thence North 45~ 22' 22" East 20.78 feet
along said parallel line to the beginning of a curve therein,
concave Southeasterly, having a radius of 1030.00 feet; thence
Northeasterly 401.15 feet along said curve and said parallel
line through a central angle of 22" 18' 54"; thence North 67°
41' 16" East 294.44 feet along said parallel line to the beginning
of a curve concave Southerly, having a radius of 27.00 feet;
thence leaving said parallel line, Easterly 29.67 feet along
said curve, through a central angle of 62" 57' 36" to its point
of tangency with a line parallel with and Southwesterly 30.00
feet from the Northeasterly line of said Lot; thence South 49°
21' 08" East 5.92 feet along said parallel line to said South-

easterly line of Parcel 6; thence South 67" 41' 16" West 321.18
feet along said South easterly line to the beginning of a curve
therein concave Southeasterly, having a radius of 1010.00 feet;
thence Southwesterly 393.36 feet along said curve and said
Southeasterly line through a central angle of 22" 18' 54"; thence
South 45" 22' 22" West 46.86 feet along said Southeasterly line
to a point on a non-tangent curve concave Easterly, having a
radius of 27.00 feet, a radial to said point bears South 60" 23'
56" West; thence leaving said Southeasterly line Northerly and
Northeasterly 35.33 feet along said curve, through a central
angle of 74" 58' 26" to the true point of beginning.
Subject to covenants, conditions, reservations, restrictions,
rights of way and easements, if any, of record.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That September ~, 1970, at the hour
of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall Annex, 500 West
Sixth Street, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the time
and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to
said proposed street vacation;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council of
the City of Santa Ana is hereby ordered to publish this Resolution
one time in the Register, and the Director of Public Works is
ordered to post noticee of street vacation conspicuously along the
line of said street, stating the passage of this Resolution of
Intention to vacate and the time and place of hearing thereon. Said
notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at least
three (3) such notices shall be posted. Both publication and
posting shall be completed at least ten (10) days before the date
of hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the city Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of August, 1970.
