PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY NORTHEAST OF THE
INTERSECTION OF FIFTH AND HARPER STREETS
FOR PARK PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Santa Ana General Plan Program recommends the
acquisition and development of a six-acre neighborhood park by
fiscal year 1969-70 near the intersection of Fifth and Harper
Streets; and
WHEREAS, the parcel hereinafter described is the only one
in the area suitable for said purpose;
N(I~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that the public
interest and necessity require the acquisition of fee title in and
to the real property hereinbelow described:
That portion of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
of Section 10, Township 5 Sou~h, Range 10 West, in the Rancho
Las Bolsas, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
of California, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 51,
Page 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County, and
that portion of Tract Number 447 as shown on a map recorded in Book
17, Page 12 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County
described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 9 of said Tract Number
447, and running thence North, along the northerly prolongation
of the West line of sa~d Lot 9, a distance of 460.00 feet;
thence East, parallel with the North line of said Tract Number 447,
a distance of 130.00 feet to the northerly prolongation of the
East line of Lot 10 of said Tract Number 447; thence southerly,
along said northerly prolongation and along the easterly line
of said Lot 10, a distance of 600 feet to the southeast corner
of said Lot 10; thence westerly a distance of 130.00 feet to
the SouthweSt corner of Lot 9 of said Tract Number 447; thence
North along the west line of said Lot 9, a distance of 140.00 .~
feet to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
1. That the City Attorney is hereby ordered to bring an
action in the name of the City to condemn said property necessary
to be taken and to do all things necessary to prosecute said action
to final determination;
2. That said public improvement is planned and located in
a manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public
good and the least private injury;
3. That the City of Santa Ana is authorized and empowered
to acquire, develop, maintain, and operate public parks within
and without the City;
4. That said action in condemnation shall be taken in
accordance with the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure and
the Constitution of the State of California relating to eminent
domain.

Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th day of August, 1970.
