City Council met for a special meeting for the
purpose of considering entering into oontract~
with architects to prepare plane'for the con-
struction of a Public Library Building in said
City.
Meeting called to order by the Mayor.

On motion of Councilman Jerome,
seconded by Larsen and carried, proper
officials were authorized to sign a contract with Francis Eeally and
Howard S. Patterson, for consulting architect's services for the con-
struction of a proposed Public Library.

officials were authorized to sign an amended contract with Francis
Keally and Howard S. Patterson, for consulting architect's services,
which limits payments if the bonds for a proposed Public Library are

On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, proper
officials were authorized to enter into a contract with Harold Gimeno
for architectural services ~o be performed for the construction of a
proposed Public Library.

the location of the building for a Public Library, be approved for the

south side of Eighth Street between Ross and Van Ness.
On motion of Councilman La-sen, seconded by McBride and carried, the
communication on the action of the Library Board.approving the
schematic drawing and the plot plan of the entire area of the pro-
posed Library as submitted.by Mr. Francis Eeally, dated October ?th,
1955, was received and filed.
