OF GLASSELL STREET AND A PORTION OF (OLD) GRAND
AVENUE
WHEREAS, on the recommendation of the Planning Commission,
the City Council has determined that it would be in the best ~
interest of the City of Santa Ana to change the name of that
portion of Glassell Street, between Santa Clara Avenue and the
North City Limits, and to change the name of that portion of
(old) Grand Avenue, between Santa Clara Avenue and Fairhaven
Avenue;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana does hereby change the name of that portion
of Glassell Street, between Santa Clara Avenue and the North City
boundary, to GRAND AVENUE;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana does hereby change the name of (old) Grand
Avenue, as it exists between Santa Clara Avenue and Fairhaven
Avenue, to OLD GRAND STREET;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Director of Public Works
is instructed to place street name signs on Glassell Street and
on (old) Grand Avenue to show the name heretofore used for said
portions of streets and the new names herein designated for said
streets, and said combination signs shall be maintained for at
least six (6) months from the date of the adoption of this
resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of April, 1971.
