ALLEY SOUTH OF WARNER AVENUE AND EAST OF
BRISTOL STREET RESERVING EASEMENT FOR
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GAS COMPANY AND
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY
WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public
Works and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana,
Resolution 72-4 was adopted giving notice of intention to
vacate that certain alley south of Warner Avenue and east
of Bristol Street, and RESERVING THEREIN an' easement for
Southern California Gas Company and Southern California
Edison Company.
WHEREAS, on February 7, 1972, a public hearing was duly
heldon on said vacation of alley on posted notices and the
publication of said Resolution 72-4;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana hereby finds that above mentioned alley is
unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and
does hereby make its order abandoning and vacating said alley
and RESERVING THEREIN an easement for Southern California Gas
Company and Southern California Edison Company. cSaid right of
way lies within the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
Ail that portion of the West half of Section 25,
Township 5 South, Range 10 West in the land allotted
to James McFadden in the City of Santa Ana as described
in the Final Decree of Partition of the Rancho Santiago
de Santa Ana, which was entered September 12, 1868 in
Book "B", Page 410 of Judgments of the District Court
of the 17th Judicial District in and for Los Angeles
County, California, described as follows:
The Northerly 10.00 feet of the following described
property.
Beginning at a point on the center line of Bristol Street,
80.00 feet in width, as described in deed to Orange
County, recorded June 1, 1949 in Book 1851, Page 303,
Official Records, Orange County, California, distant
South 0° 53' 33" West 1540.02 feet from the Northwest
corner of said Section 25; thence South 89° 22' 10"
East 415.71 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve,
concave Northerly having a radius of 600.00 feet; thence
Easterly along said curve through a central angle of 7°
42' 10", an arc distance of 80.66 feet; thence South 0°
38' 16" West 785.41 feet; thence North 89° 22' 10" West
499.60 feet to said center line of Bristol Street;
thence North 0° 53' 33" East 780.00 feet to the point of
beginning.
Excepting therefrom that portion lying Westerly of a line
parallel with and distant 50.00 feet Easterly, measured
at right angles, from said center line of Bristol Street.
Reserving from the above described land an easement and
right of way to construct, place, operate, inspect, main-
tain, repair, replace, remove, and enlarge lines of pipes
and other structures, equipment and fixtures at any time
and from time to time, for the operation of gas lines as
the Southern California Gas Company may required;

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of February, 1972.
