OF UNEMPLOYED SANTA ANA RESIDENTS UNDER
THE EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT ACT OF 1971
WHEP~EAS, the City of Santa Ana has entered into an
agreement with the U.S. Department of Labor in the total amount
of $854,169.00 to employ unemployed residents in transitional
jobs with the City of Santa Ana, the Santa Ana Unified School
District, the Garden Grove Unified School District, and the
Rancho Santiago Community College District, and
WHEREAS, the City's portion of those federal funds
amounts to $555,663, and is matched by City in-kind funds valued
at $57,160, making a total City PEP Program of $612,823, which
will provide for these 81 positions, and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has assessed its unmet
public service needs to include the below listed positions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana approves the establishment of the
following classes through November 1973, at the following pay
ranges:
