A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA APPROVING MAP AND DEC~RING IN-
TENTION TO VACATE A POI~ION OF THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF W~ESTMINSTER AVENUE AND CENTURY BLVD.
WHEREAS, the~D~partment of Public Works and Planning Com-
mission have recommended a public hearing be set on the ques-
tion of said vacation, a request for the vacation of a portion
of the southeast corner of Westminster Avenue and Century Blvd,
herein described, has been received by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the same
filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of
the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said
map for the exterior boundaries of said right of way proposed
to be vacated.
The City Council declares its intention to proceed under
the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Section 8300
through 8374 of the California Streets and Highway Code) to
vacate that portion of Century Boulevard, 100 feet wide, in the
city of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as
shown on the map of Tract No. 538 recorded in Book 23, Page
33 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder
of said County, described as follow~ :
Beginning at the Southerly corner of Lot 4 of said
Tract No. 538; thence North 53° 47' 30" West 96.39 feet
along the Southwesterly line of said Lot 4 to a point
in a curve concave Easterly and having a radius of 25.00
feet that is tangent to a line parallel with, and 36.00
feet Northeasterly from, the centerline of Century Boule-
vard, and tangent to a line that is parallel with, and
52.00 feet Southerly from, the centerline of 17th Street,
a radial of said curve through said point bears North 79°
53' 28" West; thence Southwesterly along said curve
through a central angle of 63° 54' 02" a distance of
27.88 feet to a tangency with the above mentioned line
that is parallel with, and 36.00 feet Northeasterly from
the centerline of Century Boulevard; thence South 53~
47' 30" East 84.47 feet along said parallel line to the
Southerly prolongation of the Easterly line of said Lot
4; thence North 0: 45' 07" West 17.52 feet along said
prolongation to the Point of Beginning.
Subject to covenants, conditions, reservations, restrictions,
rights of way and easements, if any, of record.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That May 7, 1973, at the hour of
7:30 p.m. in the Council ~ambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa
Aha, California is hereby fixed as the hour and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
alley vacation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council of
the City of Santa Ana is hereby ordered to publish this Resolu-
tion one time in the Register, and the Director of Public Works
is ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicuously
along the line of said street, stating the passage of this
Resolution of Intention to Vacate and the time and place of
hearing thereon. Said notices shall be posted not more than
300 feet apart and at least three (3} such notices shall be
posted. Both publication and posting shall be completed at
least ten (10) days before the date of hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 2nd
day of April , 1973.
