A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE POLICE
CHIEF TO EXECUTE AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT
DISCRETIONARY FUNDS TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT
OF JUSTICEt LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE
ADMINISTRATION (LEAA)
WHEREAS, there has been presented to this City Council an
Application for Grant Discretionary Funds to the U.S. Department
of Justice, Law Enforcement Assistance Administration (LEAA) on
a proposed project to create a County Narcotics Intelligence
Index to coordinate prevention, control and enforcement relative
to narcotics and dangerous drug traffic within Orange County on a
County-wide basis; and that the Police Department of Santa Ana is
the director of such a project.
WHEREAS, it appears proper and to the best interest of the
County that said applications for a grant be filed;
NOWt THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND RESOLVED:
1. That the Chief of Police, City of Santa Ana be, and he
is hereby, authorized and directed to execute subject application.
2. That the Chief of Police, City of Santa Ana be, and he
is hereby, authorized and directed to transmit subject application
to the U.S. Department of Justice, Law Enforcement Assistance
Administration (LEAA) for approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 16th
day of April , 1973.
