A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING DESCRIPTION OF PARCEL
NO. 3 INCLUDED IN RESOLUTION 72-40 FOEMERLY
PASSED APRIL 17, 1972.
WHEREAS, in order to provide for a more orderly flow
of traffic on First Street in the City of Santa Ana, it has
become necessary to widen and improve said street fro~
Townsend to Hesperian Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana does hereby amend its Resolution
72-40 passed April 17, 1972 as to Parcel No. 3 only and does
hereby find and declare that the public interest and neces-
sity require that First Street be widened and improved from
Townsend to Hesperian Street to provide for a more orderly
flow of east-west traffic, and further require that said
City do have, take and acquire for street purposes that cer-
tain real property in the City of Santa And, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
PARCEL 3A:
The Southerly 40 feet of Lots 10 to 16 inclusive,
in Block 12 of the Pacific Electric Subdivision
of the Ross Tract, in the City of Santa And, as
per map recorded in Book 4, Page 14, Miscella-
neous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder
of said Orange County.
PARCEL 3B:
A spandrel shaped parcel of land described as fol-
fows: Beginning at the intersection of the East
line of said Lot 16 with a line paralleI with and
distant 70.00 feet Northerly, measured at right
angles, from the center line of First Street as
shown on said Subdivision; thence Northerly along
said East line a distance of 24.91 feet to the
beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly
having a radius of 25.00 feet~ tbence ~thwesterly
along the arc of said curve throug~ a central ~ngle
of 89° 47' 33" an arc distance of 3~.18 feet to a
tangent line, being said line parallel t~at ~s dls~
tant 70.0~ feet Northerly hereinabove descr~ed~

RESOLUTION NO. 73-64
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby
ordered to bring an action in the name of the City of Santa
Ana to condemn said property necessary to be taken and to do
all things necessary to prosecute said action to final deter-
mination.
That work is to begin immediately, and it is necessary
for the City of Santa Ana to have possession of the above
described property as soon as possible.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana at its adjourned regular meeting held on the
25 day of June , 1973.
