A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING
THE SALARY OF THE CITY ATTORNEY
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, similarly to all other salaries, those of City Attorneys
have continued to increase over the years throughout the State of California;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Arm is now paying its City Attorney at a
rate below that prevalent in the State for attorneys of cities of comparable
size; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Santa Aha is of a caliber to
warrant payment well above the prevailing rate; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the salary of the City
Attorney should be increased to bring it into the range of currently prevalent
salaries for city attorneys of cities of comparable size;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the salary for the position
of City Attorney of the City of Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed and
established at $2, 900 per month.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said salary shall be paid in the same
manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries in the City are paid,
and that said new salary rate shall take effect and be paid from July 1, 1973.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at
its regular meeting held on the 16 day of July , 1973.
