BUDGET 1973-74 IN POLICE DEPARTI~NT
ACCOUNT NUMBERS BY DELETING ONE (1)
STENOGRAPHIC CLERK I AND ADDING ONE
(I) SECRBTAIIY POSITION.
WHEREAS, the Police Department has been restructured into four major
divisions under the Chief of Police in accordance with the reorganization plan
formally approved by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the addition of two con. hand officers, an administrative aide
and several other officers to the Administration Division has greatly increased
the need for additional secretarial clerical support; and
WHEREAS, the redistribution of certain clerical assignments resulting from
said reorganization now requires the reassignment of certain clerical positions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the 1973-74 Annual Budget of the City
of Santa Ana be amended by deleting one (1) Secretary and one (1) Stenographic
Clerk I position from Police Department Account No. 11-332, Patrol and Investigation
Divisions and adding two (2) Secretary positions to Police Department Account No.
11-331, Administration Division, so that the total number of Stenographic Clerk I
positions is reduced by one (1) and the total number of Secretary positions is
increased by one (1).
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the city Council of the City of Santa Ana at its
regular meeting held on the 4 day of September , 1973.
