HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-115 RESOLUTION 73-115 COMMENDING CONGRESSMAN RICHARD T. HANNA WHEREAS, Congressman RICHARD T. HANNA has been a resident of Southern California for fifty years, and has been educated, raised his family and built his career of public service in this area; and WHERBAS, Congressman RICHARD T. HANNA, as a lawyer, California Assemblyman and member of the United States Congress representing the 34th Congressional District including sections of the City of Santa Ana, has served the people of this community with distinction and dedica- tion throughout his public life; and WHE PEAS, Congressman RICHARD T. HANNA in eleven years of out- standing service as a Congressman has especially demonstrated his concern for the citizens of Santa Ana and other cities by his compassionate sponsorship and support of the PEP public employment program, Operation SBR, low cost housing programs, consumer protection legislation, law enforcement grants, park and open space programs, and other highly successful Federal programs designed to enrich the lives and enhance the opportunities of many individual members of the community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, by and for the citizens of Santa Aha, does hereby commend the Honorable RICHARD T. HANNA for his election to five consecutive terms in the United States Congress as Representative of the people of our City and Orange County, and for his distinguished and exemplary record of service in both the state and national legislatures, and de- clares its confidence that he will continue to serve this community and the nation with the same integrity and compassion which have been the hallmarks of his public career.
