OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
GRANTING TO SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORATION
COMPANY, A CORPORATION, ITS SUCCESSORS AND
ASSIGNS, A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND
OPERATE A DRILL TRACK ACROSS YALE STREET SOUTH
OF SEGERSTROM AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA.
WHEREAS, Southern Pacific Transporation Company, a corporation,
has applied for a permit to construct, maintain and operate its standard
gauge single spur track across Yale Street south of Segerstrom Avenue in
the City of Santa Aha, the center line of which is described on the attached
description marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference.
Reference is hereby made to the application of Southern Pacific
Transportation Company fo~ said permit now on file in the City of Santa
Ana, and incorporated herein as if fully set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
SECTION 1. A permit is hereby granted to Southern Pacific Trans-
portation Company, a corporation, its successors and assigns, to construct,
maintain and operate a standard guage single spur track across Yale Street
south of Segerstrom Avenue as more particularly described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein.
SECTION 2. This permit is specifically made subject to, and con-
ditioned upon, the approval of the City Engineer as to the agreed upon de-
tailed plans and specifications relating to said crossing.
SECTION 3. Southern Pacific Transportation Company shall pay all
costs for improving said grade crossing including any crossing protection
as may be ordered by the State of California Public Utilities Commission,
either now or in the future.
SECTION 4. The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the passage
of the Resolution and, thereupon, the same shall take effect and be in
force.

at its regular meeting held on the 5 day of November

certerlines of Sege2strom Avenue and Yale St~eet, as shown on
that certain map filed in Book ~0, Page 23 of Parcel Maps, in
the office of the County Recorder of County of O~"ange, California;
thence southerly S22~ along the centerline of said Y~].e Street~
60t wide, to a point in that certain line designated as "~ of
proposed ~0~ Railroad Easement" on said map; thence westerly ~0~
along s~id ~ of Railroad Easement to a point in weste~?ly line
of Yale Street, being the "True Point of Beginning"; thence
easterly 60~ along s~id ~ of Railroad Easement to a point in the
easterly line of Yale Street.
