HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-132 RESOLUTION NO. 73-132 A RESOI/3rION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ~ESTRIOrlNG STOPPING ON CE~TA/N ARE~ OF FIRST STP~i' WHEREAS, in order to provide and maintain the maximum traffic flow upon arterial First Street, and to permit channelization of left turning vehicles upon said street, the full width of said street must be ~loyed during certain times of certain days in certain areas; and WHEREAS, the maintenance of parking spaces upon said street in those areas during those times would constitute a considerable hazard to motorists by reason of the necessity of maintaining closed traffic lanes to provide such park- ing spaces; NOW, THE~EFOBE, BE IT RESOLVED: S~;J£-ON 1: That this resolution rescinds relevant sectic~ls of Resolution 68-136 and Depaz~Lental Traffic Order No. 71-55 pertaining to curb parking in the prescribed area. SECTION 2: That stopping, standing or parking is hereby prohibited frcm 7:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. excepting Saturdays, Sur~lays and Holidays on the north side of First Street frc~ Sullivan to Bush Street and on the south side frcm Fairview to Cypress Avenue, except at areas which have previous- ly been designated as bus zones or other no stuwping, stao~ling or parking zones by Departmental Traffic Orders. SECTION 3: That stopping, standing or parking is hereby prohibited at all times on the north side of First Street frcm Bush Street to 200 feet east of the center line of Spurgeon Street and on the south side of First Street frcm Cypress Avenue to Orange Avenue.
