HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-157RESOLUTION NO. 73-157 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REPEALING RESOLUTION 73-81 AND FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY ATTORNEY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WHEREAS, similarly, to all other salaries, those of City Attorneys have continued to increase over the years thrcugh- out the State of California; and W~IEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is now paying its City Attorney at a rate below that prevalent in the State for similar positions in cities of comparable size; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 73-81, on July 20, 1973, the City Council set the City Attorney salary of the City of Santa Ana at a flat rate of $2637 per month; and W~IEREAS, the City Council has determined that the salary of the City Attorney should be increased to bring it into the range of currently prevalent salaries for the City Attorneys of cities of comparable size; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Resolution 73-81 is hereby repealed effective January l, 1974. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: Tha~t the salary for the position of City Attorney of the City of Santa Ana, California, is hE:reby fixed and extablished at $2769 per month to take effect and be paid from January l, 1974. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said salary shall be paid in the same manner and at the same time as other monthly salaries in the City are paid.
