HomeMy WebLinkAbout74-002RESOLUTION NO. 74-2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING A PROPOSED PLAN OF EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS RECEIVED FOR COUNTY, CITY AND SPECIAL DISTRICT PARK PROJECTS UNDER THE PROPOSED CALIFORNIA STATE BEACH, PARK, RECREATIONAL AND HIS- TORICAL FACILITIES BOND ACT 1974 WHEREAS, the State Beach, Park, Recreational and Historical Facilities Bond Act of 1974 will be on the June 1974 ballot for approval by the voters of the State of California; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid proposed Bond Act will require that all counties receiving funds under aforesaid bond act submit to the State of California a priority plan of expenditure for the total county allocation towards park projects in county, city and special district territory to be approved by at least fifty percent of the cities and fifty percent of the districts representing fifty per- cent of the population of each county, and by the Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, California State Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the development of a priority plan of expenditure of the allocation made to counties for park projects in county, city and special district terri- tory prior to the June 1974 election on aforesaid bond act in order to show the voters what to expect as a result of the passage of the bond act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, does hereby approve the priority plan of expenditure, for Orange County, Orange County cities, and various special districts pursuant to the proposed State Beach, Park, Recreational and Historical Facilities Bond Act of 1974, a copy of which priority plan of expenditure is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and by this reference incorporated herein as though set forth in full. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Orange County Administrative Office.
