RESOLUTION NO. '~4-4
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA ORDERING THE VACATION OF THE
ALLEY LOCATED NORTH OF FRUIT STREET BETWEEN
FRUIT STREET AND SANTA ANA BOULEVARD APPROXI-
MATELY 125 FEET WEST OF LINCOLN AVENUE
W~EREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public
Works and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana,
the City Council of the City of Santa Ana adopted Resolution
No. 73-146, giving notice of intention to vacate the alley
located north of Fruit Street between Fruit Street and Santa
Ana Boulevard approximately 125 feet west of Lincoln Avenue;
and
WHEREAS, Resolution no. 73-146 was published and notice
of intention to vacate was posted as required by law; and
W~EREAS, on January 7, 1974, a public hearing was duly
held on said vacation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that the above named
alley is no longer necessary for present or prospective street
purposes, and does hereby make its order to vacate said right
of way. Said right of way lies in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California described as follows:
That portion of the alley in Block "E"
of Hawkins Addition, in the City of
Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of
California, as per map recorded in book
13 page 26 of Miscellaneous Records, in
the office of the County Recorder of Los
Angeles, County, California, bounded
Northerly by a line parallel with and
distant 52.00 feet Southeasterly, mea-
sured at right angles from a line
described as having a bearing and dis-
tance of South 64° 18' 01" West 1421.66
feet in a deed to the City of Santa Ana,
recorded December 17, 1968, in Book 8818
page 197 of Official Records and bounded
Southerly by the Westerly prolongation of
the Southerly line of Lot 17 of said
Block "E".
EXCEPTING THEREFROM an exclusive permanent
easement for vehicular access across the
northerly line of above described property
reserved by the City of Santa Ana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the public convenience
and necessity require the reservation of an exclusive per-
manent easement for vehicular access across the northerly
line of above described property by the City of Santa Ana.

BE IT FURTHER RESOVED: That these proceedings are
taken subject to said easement over said right of way
for the City of Santa Ana.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7
day of January , 1974.
