A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA ACCEPTING A PROPORTIONATE SHARE
OF THE REMAINING ASSETS OF THE NEWHOPE DRAINAGE
DISTRICT AND ALLOCATING THEM TO THE C-5-F STORM
DRAIN PROJECT
WHEREAS, after due notice and a public hearing, the
Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County, Cali-
fornia adopted Resolution Number 66-64 for the dissolution of
the NEWHOPE DRAINAGE DISTRICT, and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Flood Control District was
named successor to the NEWHOPE DRAINAGE DISTRICT for the
purpose of winding up the affairs of said district, and
WHEREAS, after due notice and a public hearing, the
Board of Supervisors of Orange County, California adopted
Resolution Number 76-14 ordering the dissolution of the NEW-
HOPE DRAINAGE DISTRICT of Orange County, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, Cali-
fornia designated the Orange County Flood Control District as
successor for the purpose of winding up the affairs of said
district, and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Flood Control District, as the
said successor to said district, has notified the City that
said successor has met all terms and conditions of said reso-
lutions and has satisfied all debts and obligations of said
district and that assets in the amount of $20,502.63 in cash
remain, and
WHEREAS, the remaining assets are to be distributed by
the said successor in accordance with the plan formulated by
the said successor which would result in the following dis-
tribution:
City of Fountain Valley
City of Garden Grove
City of Santa Ana
County of Orange

$12,098.60
With accrued interest, if any, to be distributed in the
same proportions,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said distribution of
said remaining assets pursuant to the said plan is hereby
approved, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Santa Ana's share is to be
used for the C-5-F storm drain project within the territory
of the dissolved NEWHOPE DRAINAGE DISTRICT as shown on a ~
of said district attached hereto and made a part hereof.
