A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA RESTRICTING PARKING ON CERTAIN
AREAS OF ROSS STREET
WHEREAS, in order to provide and maintain the maximum
traffic flow upon Ross Street, and to permit the establishment
of bicycle lanes for an increasing number of bicyclists, the
full width of said street must be employed in certain areas
during certain times of the day; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance of parking spaces upon said street
in those areas during those certain times would constitute
a considerable hazard to motorists and bicyclists by reason of
the necessity of closing traffic lanes to provide such parking
spaces;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That parking, stopping, or
standing is hereby prohibited between the hours of 7:00 a.m.
and 9:00 a.m. and between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
except Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays on both sides of Ross
Street from Civic Center Drive to Seventeenth Street and from
First Street to Fourth Street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 4th day of February, 1974.
