A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA RESTRICTING PARKING ON
CERTAIN AREAS OF HOBART STREET BETWEEN
THE OLD PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILROAD RIGHT
OF WAY AND EVERGREEN STREET
WHEREAS, in order to provide and maintain the maximum
traffic flow upon Hobart Street, and to permit the establish-
ment of bicycle lanes for an increasing number of bicyclists,
the full width of said street must be employed in certain
areas during certain times of the day; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance of parking spaces upon said
street in those areas during those certain times would
constitute a considerable hazard to motorists and bicyclists
by reason of the necessity of closing traffic lanes to provide
such parking spaces;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that parking, stopping,
or standing of vehicles is hereby prohibited between the
hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays,
and Holidays on both sides of Hobart Street between the
old Pacific Electric Railroad right of way and Evergreen
Street, City of Santa Ana, California, except for that segment
of Evergreen Street where parking, stopping, or standing of
vehicles is already prohibited.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana, Califoria, at its regular meeting held on the
6th day of May , 1974.
