RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING NO STOPPING ZONES ON SEVENTEENTH
STREET BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND PENN WAY
WHEREAS, Resolution 72-84 prohibited parking at any time on 17th Street
between Main Street and Penn Way except certain parking was allowed on the
south side of 17th Street between Main Street and Spurgeon Street, and
WHEREAS, to meet the capacity requirements of increased traffic volumes
throughout the entire day, it has become necessary to provide three continuous
travel lanes in each direction on 17th Street between Main Street and Penn Way,
and
WHEREAS, sufficient roadway width does not exist to maintain standard widths
for all travel lanes and provide for parking:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA:
1. That Resolution 72-84 is repealed.
That the Director of Public Works is directed to
install signs and markings prohibiting stopping at
any time on both sides of 17th Street between Main Street
and Penn Way.

regular meeting held on the 20th day of May , 1974.
