A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING THE
NORMAN C. CORBIN COMMUNITY SERVICE
CENTER
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Council of the City of Santa Aha
wish to publicly acknowledge the late Mr. Norman C. Corbin for his
many years of service to this community; and
WHEREAS, they further wish to recognize his valuable contribu-
tions towards building a better community through his work with the Orange
County Human Relations Commission, the Santa Ana Unified School District,
and the Santa Aha Human Relations Commission; and
WHEREAS, they wish to cite Mr. Corbin as an exemplary type of
leader who: offered peace and comfort to many through his ministry;
served as a counselor of youth; acted as a conciliator and mediator of dis-
putes; assisted all of those whom he knew to be in need; and, who served as
a communicator between the various communities of Santa Aha; and
WHEREAS, they share with his many friends and admirers a desire
that his service to the community be permanently commemorated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Santa Ana City
Council hereby directs that the City's Community Service Center located
at 2215 West McFadden Avenue (and formerly known as the Central Com-
munity Service Center), shall be hereafter known as the NORMAN C. CORBIN
COMMUNITY SERVICE CENTER.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of May 1974.
