RESOLUTION NO. 74-84
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA ORDERING THE VACATION OF A PORTION
OF LILAC AVENUE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF LILAC
AVENUE WEST OF GATES STREET
WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public
Works and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana,
Resolution 74-72 was adopted giving notice of intention to
vacate a portion of Lilac Avenue on the north side of Lilac
Avenue west of Gates Street; and
WHEREAS, on June 17, 1974, a public hearing was duly held
on vacation of said street on posted notices and the publica-
tion of said Resolution 74-72.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that the above mentioned
street is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes
and does hereby make its order abandoning and vacating for
street purposes that certain right of way located in the City
of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows:
That portion of lot 8, Tract No. 1298, as
per map thereof recorded in Book 41, Pages
1 and 2, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of
Orange County, California, described as
follows:
Parcel 1. The Southerly 22.00 feet of said
lot 8.
Parcel 2. A spandrel shaped parcel of land
bounded on the South by the North line of
Parcel 1, bounded on the East by the East
line of said lot 8; bounded Northwesterly
by the arc of a curve concave Northwesterly
having a radius of 25.00 feet and being
tangent to said Southerly and Easterly
boundaries.
Reserving all Vehicular Access Rights to
Lilac Avenue, formerly Smeltzer Avenue, from
the lands lying Northerly of the South line
of said lot 8.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 17th
day of June , 1974.
