A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA CREATING AN IN-SCHOOL YOUTH
PROGRAM FUNDED AND GOVERNED BY TITLE I OF
THE COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING
ACT OF 1973.
WHEREAS, Many Santa Ana high achool youths are unemployed and/or
disadvantaged~ and
WHEREAS,
Many ctudenta drop out of high school becaucs of a lack
of money; and
WHEREAS,
Title I of the Compreh@ncive Employment and T~aining Act
of 197~ ectabliches a program to provide comp~ehensivs
manpower se~viesc including dsvelopment and ¢~eation of
part-time jobs and training for disadvantaged high school
youth~
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana does hereby create and initiate an In-School
Youth Program through utilization of funde under the
Comprehencivs Employment and Training Act of 1973.
