A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS
FROM ITS ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM FUND FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF SEVENTEENTH STREET FROM SANTA ANA RIVER TO
SANTIAGO STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, by Resolution
No. 72-129, dated December 18, 1972, requested the County of Orange to
include within the Arterial Highway Financing Program the improvement
of Seventeenth Street from Santa Aha River to Santiago Street; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Supervisors by Resolution dated
March 13, 1973 approved the allocation of $65,000 from the Special Road
Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1973-74 to be provided for the improve-
ment of Seventeenth Street from Santa Ana River to Santiago Street under
Project No. 714; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has previously budgeted $65,000 for
the improvement of said Seventeenth Street; and
WHEREAS, because of increased labor and material costs the allocation
of additional funds for this project are required; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is allocating an additional $10,100
for the construction of the road project which is available for the Fiscal
Year 1974-75.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana does hereby request the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange
to allocate to the City of Santa Ana from County funds the additional amount
of $10,100, said amount to be matched by funds from said City to be used to
aid said City in the improvement of Seventeenth Street from the Santa Ana
River to Santiago Street; said improvements to be in accordance with the pre-
viously submitted and approved project statement for the project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its
regular meeting held on the lSth ~ay of November , 197~.
