A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OFT HE CITY OF SANTA
/KNA TO CONSOLIDATE THE CLASSES OF ALAiLMDISPATCHERA/qD
COMMUNICATIONS OPERATOR UNDER A NEW CLASS TITLE OF
EMERGENCY SERVICES DISPATCHER
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution
No.' 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan for all officers
and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha
requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification
and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the
City Council; amd
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the existing classes of Alarm Dispatcher
and Communications Operator have become so similar in terms of the nature, scope and
levels of difficulty and responsibility of their assigned duties and the basic quali-
fications needed to satisfactorily perform the work~ that they should be treated alike
for purposes of recruitment, examination, placement, compensation and other purposes
of personnel administration; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to consolidate the above-named classifications under
a cou~non class title.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as
amended, be further amended to change the class titles of Alarm Dispatcher and Communi-
cations Operator to the new class title of Emergency Services Dispatcher.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on February 1, 1975,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of ~anta Aha at its
meeting held on the 5rd day of Eebruary
