A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES
FOR THE INCLUSION OF RESIDENTS IN A PROJECT
AREA COMMITTEE FROM THE AREA PROPOSED TO
BE ADDED TO THE PRESENTLY EXISTING CITY
OF SANTA ANA REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA
WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Community Re-
development Law, the City of Santa Aha is proceeding to amend
the Redevelopment Plan for the City of Santa Ana Redevelop-
ment Project Area; and
WHEREAS, the Plan, as amended, will have added to it
a new and different area of the City of Santa Ana in which is
located several residences; and
WHEREAS, there presently exists a Project Area Committee
which represents residents of the City of Santa Ana Redevelop-
ment Project Area and which Committee should represent the
persons residing within the boundaries of the area proposed
to be added to the City of Santa Ana Redevelopment Project
Area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ORDERED AND DIRECTED
that:
1. The City Council hereby calls upon the residents
of the area proposed to be included within the Community Re-
development Project, as amended, to form with the Project
Area Committee for the purpose of having community representa-
tion.
2. Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency is
directed to give notice to all those persons residing within,
and the community organizations existing within the area of
the City of Santa Ana proposed to be included within the
boundaries of the amended City of Santa Ana Community Redevelop-
ment Project Area to advise them of the existence of the Project
Area Committee and to acquaint them with the services to be
provided by the said Project Area Committee, and the time, place
and date of the next meeting of the Project Area Committee.
3. The Project Area Committee shall meet and formulate
a suitable plan whereby they can represent, equally and fairly,
all the residents and existing community organizations within
the amended Project Area.
4. The Project Area Committee shall render a report
to the City Council not later than March 5, 1975, outlining
the organization, methods and procedures which will accomplish
these goals.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the
l~th day of February , ~975
