RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA ORDERING THE WORK
TO BE EXECUTED AND PERFORMED BY CITY
FORCES OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 239
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 10506 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, the "Municipal Improve-
ment Act of 1913", anytime after the preliminary approval of the
Report, this City Council may, by a Resolution adopted by a vote
of two-thirds (2/3) of its members, order that the City itself
execute all of the improvement as previously approved for the
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 239~ and
WHEREAS, it is determined, at this time, that the
work of improvement can most economically be performed by City
forces; said work consisting of the construction and installation
of a waterline, together with appurtenances, including house
laterals and fire hydrants in Stanford Street, Edinger Avenue
and Other Streets, within the Special Assessment District known
and designated as ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 239.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The above recitals are all true and
correct.
SECTION 2. The City shall perform the works of
improvements consisting of the construction and installation
of a waterline, together with all appurtenances and appurtenant
work in the Special Assessment District known and designated as
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 239 and, if necessary, the City shall
employ the necessary labor and provide whatever materials, sup-
plies and appurtenances that are necessary in order to carry
out said work.
SECTION 3. It is hereby determined that said work of
improvement above mentioned is necessary and in the best public
interest and convenience and is further determined and declared
to be in the best interest for the property owners within the
boundaries of the Assessment District and the cost and expenses
of said work shall not exceed the estimate of the costs and
expenses as previously approved by this City Council.
SECTION 4. This action is pursuant to Section 10506
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California and
said Resolution, through its adoption by two-thirds (2/3) vote
of all its members hereby meets the requirements as set forth
under the "Municipal Improvement Act of 1913".
